Why I created Balletify
In our busy and stressful “normal” adult life (formation, work, household, responsibilities, children…), things like art and sports, which require commitment and time, can be forgotten or neglected – although they are a unique source of strength, health and personal development.
Expressing yourself artistically and through movement has a deep impact on you:
It lets your happy, confident and strong personality emerge and empowers you to better accomplish the things you want in life.
That’s Balletify: A lifestyle of inspiration, art and movement, that enables you to express who you TRULY are!
This is true for everyone. Even if you have never done ballet before or don´t have any artistic or inspiring hobby at the moment.
Why ballet as the roots of Balletify?
For me, ballet is a lifestyle.
You don´t just go to class and that’s it, you´re done. No, – there´s sooo much more to it.
If you, like me, have a ballet soul, you are searching for living a ballet life, a creative, moved and inspired life, even if you aren´t a professional dancer. You want it to be present in your life as much as possible.
This need for ballet, art and movement is set in your personality.
I completely identify with this. But you don’t have to! You don´t need to do ballet (but I’d suggest you try it – who knows if it’s not the thing you’re searching for?).
Find the art and movement style that inspires you the most and makes you shine.
Fortunately, it is never too late to (re-)start adding more art, movement and inspiration into your life!
Who is writing here?
Hi! I’m Inga, an adult ballet dancer and passionate for all things ballet, movement and design.
I started ballet when I was 21 years old and that was the day I finally found what I was searching for my whole life. I feel at home in the ballet studio and in the wings!
A few years ago, due to overstretching (I´m not naturally flexible, but I have strong muscles), I got an injury that unfortunately constrained my training a lot – and still does.
Despite my deep love, passion and will to dance, I know how it feels to be inflexible and injured – not being in shape at all, lacking confidence, feeling bad in my body and not being able to live my (ballet) life the way I would like to. If you have found my blog, you possibly can relate very well.
But while being still in the process of getting back to ballet, I discovered other ways to get ballet, art and movement into my life! This inspires me a lot and I want to share it with you.
Being a ballet dancer is a part of my personality. It is always there, even if I can´t dance (if you feel the same: NEVER forget that!). I just have to express myself through it.
So I created this blog that allows me to do ballet inspired design and writing and help other people connect more with ballet, art and movement 🙂
Let’s balletify our lives together!
Get in touch with me on instagram and facebook or leave a comment on one of my blog posts – I´d love to hear from you!
